Tyler James Sisk, J.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Sisk advises clients regarding obtaining, protecting, and monetizing their proprietary technologies.
Tyler’s formal training in microbiology and immunology provides a foundation for understanding and expertise in a broad range of life science related IP including antibody technologies, CMB technologies, cancer therapeutics and diagnostics, immunotherapies, immunomodulators, vaccines, and recombination technologies such as CAR-T cells. Tyler has secured patent protection in these and other life science fields in the United States and internationally.
Tyler gratefully acknowledges that he has been blessed to be able to understand and to anticipate the evolution of cutting-edge technologies while representing clients, both inside and outside the life sciences. For example, he has also secured hundreds of patents in non-life science subject matter including intelligent mechanical designs and systems, furniture and furniture components, and taste testing devices and systems.
He contemplatively and enthusiastically works with clients to formulate and implement successful patent filing, business negotiation, and protection/enforcement strategies. Tyler provides counseling regarding:
- Patentability and FTO
- Invalidity and noninfringement
- Due diligence reviews
- Litigation and litigation avoidance
Tyler has represented clients at the USPTO, Patent Trial and Appeal Board, federal courts, and in mediation/arbitration proceedings.
